VCE Program Calendar
JANUARY VCE Summer School
A preparation program that runs over two weeks in January and caters to students entering Years 11 and 12. Two-day programs are offered in most Studies. A substantial English program is complemented by an Essay Writing and Time Management Day. Clarifies topics, builds confidence and motivation. Residential accommodation is available.
MARCH VCE Intensive 8-week programs
VCE Intensive 8-week programs prepare students for mid-year exams in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Mathematical Methods classes prepare students for School Assessed Coursework and monitor progress towards end-of-year exams. Includes: practice in examination techniques and sample questions; experiences which develop and extend students abilities; a structure where revision and extension can occur in preparation for exams.
APRIL Mastering VCE

A program is presented in the Easter vacation allowing for revision of content. Includes: an English day, a Maths Topics and Skills Day and a Mid-Year Exam preparation weekend; Strategies and skills to support outcomes in English, Literature, Mathematics, and Commerce Studies; English sessions on Issues, Oral and Text Outcomes and popular print and non-print texts; Revision for Mathematics topics; Exam planning and revision for Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology.

This program will not run at the usual time in 2006 due to the changed term dates resulting from the Commonwealth Games. (See Focus on VCE)
MAY Mid-Year Exam Ready
Dedicated to preparation for the mid-year exams in Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology, this program revises Unit 3 and equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle their mid-year examinations with confidence. Revises Unit 3 key topics and concepts in the context of assessment criteria with emphasis on exam preparation, sample questions and worked solutions.
JULY VCE Intensive 8-week programs
VCE Intensive 8-week programs prepare students for end-of-year exams in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. Classes revise course work and monitor progress towards end-of-year exams. Includes: practice in examination techniques and sample questions; experiences which develop and extend students abilities; a structure where revision and extension can occur in preparation for exams; Builds on work covered in Semester 1 VCE 8-Week programs.
SEPTEMBER VCE Made Easy (Holiday Program)
This program includes complete Unit 4 revision in a range of VCE Studies. Gives students a head-start with preparation for the November exams and planning for effective personal holiday revision; All major VCE Studies are covered as two-day or one-day programs. Substantial two-day program covers English and Literature. Extensive coverage of popular English Texts, Text Response and Writing Task. Includes Essay Writing and Exam Strategies.
OCTOBER VCE Made Easy
Complete revision for Units 3 and 4. Final series of lectures revising each VCE Study with emphasis on clarification and exam technique; A condensed program providing a suitable structure for effective final revision, enabling students to fine-tune their personal study programs and boost confidence in preparation for the November exams. Covers Mathematics and Science subjects.
